Student residence: What type of room should I choose?
Student residence: What type of room should I choose?
Student choosing an accommodation.

In most student residences, you will find different accommodation options, from single rooms to shared flats. Each with different dimensions and amenities.

While some include a fully equipped kitchen, others also offer a spacious living room to watch TV and spend time with your flatmates. Which one do you prefer? Which one is the most convenient for your lifestyle?

At LIV Student, we offer 4 different types of accommodation, of which 2 are single and 2 are shared. Check them out below.

Shared accommodation options

Shared accommodation is a favourite choice for those who like to live in company and feel like they have friends nearby. In fact, if you want to live with your friends, our team will do their best to make it happen.

In this category, we have single rooms in shared flats and double studios.

Double studio

This accommodation is designed to accommodate two students. It is a spacious room with two single queen size beds.

Although both residents share the same room and bathroom, the studio includes two desks equipped with storage space and ergonomic chairs. Thus, each has a place to study and concentrate on their individual tasks.

Likewise, each resident has an individual wardrobe to store their clothes and shoes, as well as shelves for their books and a corkboard for leaving notes.

The double studio also includes:

  • Kitchen with oven and microwave
  • Fridge with freezer compartment
  • Sink
  • Induction hob
  • Air-conditioning
  • Full length mirror
  • Blinds providing total darkness

This accommodation is ideal for a couple of best friends looking to be your closest support. We also recommend it for those who don’t like to live alone.

On the other hand, it is important for you to know that you do not need to bring a friend with you, as our team will match you with the best roommate based on age, preferences and area of study for each of you.

Single room in a shared flat

This accommodation option is suitable for those who like to live in company while maintaining a little more privacy. It offers single rooms in a shared flat, as well as a large and pleasant common space in which it is located:

  • A living room equipped with smart TV, sound bar, sofa and individual armchair.
  • A kitchen with oven, microwave, induction hob, sink, dishwasher and fridge with freezer compartment.
  • A dining room

Each bedroom includes a queen-size bed, wardrobes, storage space and a desk with an ergonomic chair. They also have en-suite bathrooms, blackout blinds and a full-length mirror.

Individual accommodation options

Not all residents like to share their space. That’s why we also offer individual accommodation options. They have all the same amenities as the above, except that they are occupied by only one person.

Single room

This is the simplest option. It consists of a room equipped with a queen size bed, a desk and ergonomic chair, a private bathroom and storage spaces.

In addition to these basic amenities, the resident has a small table for individual breakfast or meals, a microwave and a refrigerator with freezer. Like all our accommodation, it also has air conditioning, window blinds and a full-length mirror.

We recommend the single room for university students who are not interested in cooking, as it does not include a kitchen. Ideally, this accommodation should be combined with the half-board or full board meals offered in the dining room.

Single Studio

The single studio is very similar to the single room. The main difference is that, in addition to all the amenities mentioned above, it includes a kitchen equipped with:

  • Induction hob
  • Sink
  • Fridge with freezer

For this reason, we consider it a good alternative for residents who like to have the possibility to cook their own meals.

Accommodation considerations

As you may have noticed, although we offer 4 different accommodation options, there are certain things that remain the same. These include:

  • Residents have queen size beds in all accommodation.
  • All have a desk and individual ergonomic chair.
  • We set aside individual storage space, shelves and cupboards so you always have room to store your belongings.

These are some of the features that make the design of the rooms comfortable and pleasant, no matter if it is a shared or individual accommodation. Choose your favourite and contact our team to make your booking now.
