At LIV Student, safety comes first
Faced with the spread of COVID-19, taking care of ourselves and each other is essential. That is why we want to share with you the measures we have planned to ensure the maximum security in our residences.
Training on hygiene and prevention
All members of our team have received the necessary training to make proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as face masks and hand sanitizer. Likewise, they are committed to practicing social distancing within the premises.
We know how important it is to protect students; that is why these measures are a top priority for our team.
Promoting personal hygiene
Training on hygiene and prevention is not limited to our team members. They also extend to all residents.
This way, we ensure that every member of our community knows how to protect themselves safely and effectively; and at the same time, guarantee the protection of those around them.
Mandatory use of face masks and hand sanitizer
This is one of the most critical hygiene and prevention practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19, so it is mandatory.
To ensure compliance, we have installed sanitizing stations with hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the premises.

Social distancing
Inside our residences, practicing social distancing is as important as wearing a face mask and using hand sanitizer. That is the reason why we have established a safety distance of 2 metres between all members of our community, both for our team members and for our residents.
Reduced capacity in common spaces and limited visits
Common spaces are essential to the LIV Student Experience, as they are the preferred spaces to socialize and spend time with friends. For this to remain the same, we have established reduced capacities in each of these spaces.
Thanks to this, residents can still socialize without the risk of being in contact with too many people at the same time. And above all, this measure allows us to practice social distancing at all times. It is with this same objective that we have reduced the number of visits that our residents can receive.

Housekeeping protocols for rooms and common spaces
Another critical measure we have implemented to ensure the well-being of our residents is a detailed cleaning and housekeeping protocol we have developed for rooms and common spaces.
This measure guarantees that all surfaces being frequently touched, such as doors, handles and tables are kept clean. We also make sure that the ventilation system is being kept free of any harmful microorganisms.
Use the elevators individually
Elevators are enclosed, small spaces; the safest way to make use of them is individually.
Our canteen and meal services have been adapted to the current situation
Upon entry into the canteen, residents must make use of hand sanitizer and wear a face mask (this is mandatory), as well as practicing social distancing. The face mask can only be removed while eating or drinking in the designated spaces.

What to do if you start to feel COVID-19 symptoms
In the event of a resident having COVID-19 symptoms, he/she has the obligation to self-isolate immediately and notify our team at the front desk via email or phone. Likewise, everyone sharing room or unit with this resident must be quarantined until they have been cleared or have overcome the illness.
It is our priority to preserve the well-being of our residents and out teams, so ensuring compliance of these measures is fundamental.
